Spencer Walker, MA, CCC

Clinical Counsellor | Creative Arts Therapist (Drama Therapy)
Independent Clinician, Breakthrough ADHD Center

I’m Spencer Walker, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master of Arts in Creative Arts Therapies (Drama Therapy) from Concordia University. I specialize in supporting children and adults with ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and other neurodevelopmental differences. My approach is playful, adaptive, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique communication and attention style.

At Breakthrough ADHD Center, I provide psychotherapeutic support to children navigating emotional regulation, focus, and social-emotional development. I also offer ongoing parent support, recognizing the powerful role caregivers play in creating consistency and connection. Psychotherapy is often one part of a larger care plan and can work alongside neurofeedback, medication, or other treatments to support meaningful change.

I use an integrative, creative approach that includes art, drama, movement, play, and talk therapy, depending on what fits best for each client. My goal is to create space for expression, growth, and healing—whether through storytelling, imaginative play, or shared reflection.

My clinical journey began at the Centre for Arts in Human Development in Montreal, where I facilitated therapy for adults with developmental disabilities. I went on to work in the Child Psychiatry Day Treatment Program at the Jewish General Hospital, offering therapeutic support to children in complex care. As a Drama Therapy Researcher at Easter Seals Camp Horizon in Alberta, I studied caregiver burnout in young adults and worked directly with children and families managing a range of medical and developmental needs.

I believe that creativity opens the door to understanding—and that therapy can be both transformative and joyful.

Meet me, Spencer Walker, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who brings warmth, creativity, and care to children and families navigating ADHD and neurodivergence.
